Amy Jacobs, over, under, over, under

Jacobs, with decades of expertise in the history and art of papermaking, presents fourteen psychedelic, “overshot” paintings made entirely of handmade paper and found woven fabric. Working from 19th-century coverlet patterns invented and created by immigrant folks from all over the world, Jacobs recaptures and pays homage to the handwork and beauty that continues to pervade contemporary visual culture; each work akin to the next - thicketed and vibrant as they ever were.
